Favorite Holiday Movies

Hey there, just saw " It's a Wonderful Life" for the hundreth time. Still love it. Also I remember a Chrismas Carol was on xmas eve every year when I was a kid, and I always fell asleep before the end. I was about 25 before I saw the entire movie. There's 2 that I've seen, one with Alistar Sims and the other one I can't remember who played Scrooge. Yes and also the Bill Murray one, was different but loved it too. Can't forget  a Christmas Story that they play for 24hrs xmas day down here. The Bishop's Wife with Cary Grant and David Nivin, can't remember the womens name. Oh well, remember," No Man is a failure, who has friends." Quoted from Clarence
Wendy

hi.   ya all the classics.. Christmas Carol.. it's a wonderful life, Miracle on 34th street (black and white version of course),  Scrooged (bill murray), Christmas vacation , all the old cartoon specials , but the one that most resembles verdun to me is A Christmad Story with Ralphie .. something about that movie just takes me back to those days.

Sappy and corny I know. But I really have a soft spot for Going My Way and the Bells of St. Mary's.

I have to agree with you - Going My Way is my favourite Xmas movie. I remember the first time I watched it and cried when the elderly priest (Barry Fitzgerald - I think)  saw his mom after so many years.  I cry everytime I see it.
