hi Hope all is well with you..Tina is living in Florida and she is doing well. She married an ex service man.I never heard what ever became of Brian Ranger or Bobby Campbell..Someone did mentioned to me that Brian did get a divorce..Funny you mentioned them as i was just asking another Verdunite if they know what became of those two.My recent visit to Crawfordpark ,i noticed the " "Old stone house" is now completely closed up.I have lots of memories of that place.

Hi John,

Nice  to hear  from you . All
is  well  with  us  except  my  wife
has  caught  a  bad  cold  and  is suffering
a  bit .
I can't  recall  John or  Harold
Clark and have  lost all  contact  with friends that
I  new  while  growing up  in  Crawfordpark
.
I  wish  I  would  have
made  a greater  effort  in  keeping  in  touch
. I think that the  school  for sale  in Crawford
which you  attended  is  the  same  school
my  friend  Edward  Good  went to .  Do  you
know  him !  Last  I  heard  he  was living
in  Florida  , Would  be  great  if  could
all meet together  for  a  reunion one day . Please stay in touch
and  I am always  keen to  learn  of  any news about
Crawfordpark  .  You  don't realize  what  you
got  until  it's  gone  !  Wishing  you
a  super  day .

Hi  John ,  Always  nice to
hear  from you  and to think  back  to some  of
my  best years  growing  up  in  Crawford Park
.
 I thoroughly enjoy the  site
Verdun Connections and I  like  their  daily  e-mail feature
which  makes  it easy  to
skim  through  the  various
posts  for  something that  connects  to  my past
.  Several years  ago  I  ran  into Brian Ranger

in  a restaurant in Ville  St
Laurent  .  I  was  out  with  a customer
at  the  time  so unfortunately  we  had  little
time  to  talk .
I  tried reaching  after that
time but  was  unsuccessful . I  hope  some day
we  can get  together again  for  a  Crawford Park

reunion for  the  55+ .
Wishing  you and  your  family  and  everyone
a  very Merry  Christmas  .  Richad

Hi Sharon:   If you are referring to the Richard Murphy from Fayolle, I regret Richard passed away this past October.   Gord Gibbons Brampton, Ontario

Hi Gord,     So sad to hear that. What a shock!  I haven't spoken to Tris in awhile so I wouldn't have known.  Thanks for informing me.  B.T.W. How was the Verdun reunion at the Strathacon in Dec.? B.F.N.  Shar.

Hi Sharon:   Richard was an usher at our wedding. Richard was a very popular guy and his passing was a great shock.   I did not make the Verdun Reunion (Strathcona) as I had to attend the Grunt Club Dinner at Hotel Bonaventure that evening. I understand that the numbers were down this year - this may be sign that it is running its course. I did attend Gary Butler's 60th. Birthday Party in December. Wayne Flynn and Bob Caldwell were also there.   Gord Gibbons Brampton, Ontario

Gord, The Richard Murphy that passed away - is that the one who had a sister, Susan?  She was in my class in grade 7 at Crawford Park, before we moved on to VHS. Jim

Hi Jim:   I haven't heard from you in a while. Did you make your trip across Canada last summer as planned?   Yes, Susan is Richard's sister. You can access the obituary in the Montreal Gazette under its archives section. It goes back about six years.   Gord Gibbons Brampton, Ontario

Gord   Wayne Flynn you mentioned is he the same one who lived on 2nd? Drove a Fiat back in the day?   Lad

Hi Gord, No, the trip didn't happen.  My mother (who is 94) took ill shortly before we were to go so we put the trip on hold.  She bounced back but by then it was too late to go so we stayed closer to home and toured around the Gaspe and NS. We've decided to to split the trip in 2 parts and are currently planning to do northern Quebec and Ontario, Manitoba and Sask (Prince Albert), then south to South Dakota, back to Ontario then home.  Then in the next year or 2 we'll be able to make more of a beeline to Alaska since we'll have seen most of what we want as far as Alberta. I hope all is well with you.  Added any more grandkids? Jim Fredericton, NB

Jim:   We do have a second grandson - he is now 18 months. If your Ontario travels this summer take you near Toronto, please make a point of dropping by.   Lad:   I only met Wayne Flynn at one of the Verdun reunions at the Strathcona, so I am not sure where he lived. He is now living in Toronto and works as a Brinks Guard.   Gord

Gord   Thanks   If you ever get his e mail could you let me know.   Lad

Lad:   Can I pass on a name to Wayne - "Lad" might be a tough sell.   Gord Gibbons Brampton, Ontario
