Hi Wendy, Was this big crash that happened today near you? Walter U.S. 27 Lanes Reopened After Tanker Crash BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- U.S. 27 was shut down in northern Broward County on Friday after a tanker truck flipped over. The tanker, which was carrying propane, rolled over in the southbound lanes of U.S. 27. Fuel began leaking from the punctured tank, causing a hazmat situation. Police were directing other drivers in the southbound lanes to make a U-turn and go north on U.S. 27 instead. The lanes have since reopened.

Hi Walter, no that wasn't near me.I don't know if you heard about the 10ft 400lb. alligator that was trying to cross 441 and Baily, that's about 10 min. from me. It blocked up traffick for 2 hrs. until they caught it and unfortunatly killed it, or harvested it as they like to say. Wendy

Hi Wendy,
I did hear about the gator on 441. We live right where 441 meets Okeechobee Boulevard-Walter

Hi Wendy, Found the story of the gator on 441     Large alligator caught on major highway in Broward FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Wildlife officials say the alligator that forced one major highway in Broward County to shut down is too big to release back into the wild. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokeswoman Gabriella Ferraro says the alligator measures more than 9 feet and can't be relocated. Instead, it will be killed. Drivers kept a close eye on the gator Tuesday morning as it slowly moved on the grass behind State Road 7 in the Fort Lauderdale area. It took about an hour for a Broward County Sheriff's Office deputy to block off the area until a wildlife officer arrived. With traffic backed up, onlookers watched as the gator crept closer. The wildlife officer was able to snag the gator just after morning rush hour. No one was hurt.

Hi to all you Floridians.  I don't know any of you, but you have all been in my thoughts and prayers over the last few days during the storm (Fay) going over.    We usually go to Lakeland every December.  We spent one December in Clearwater Beach.....absolutely loved it there.  Just found there wasn't much to do or many restaurants.  That's why I stayed in Lakeland, then traveled around every day.  We won't be going down this year.....other things have come up.  Sure will miss the December warmth and sunshine of your state.   God bless all of you and take care of you.

Hi Madeline, Wendy from Coral Springs, Fl. We didn't feel much from Fay, although my kids were out of school for 2 days, but other areas a little further south of me got some flooding and up rooted trees on Mon. and Tues. of last wk. It seems like Fay would not go away and did the most damage in central and northern Fl. and is still around and heading sw. Too bad you wont make it down this winter. Thanks for your concern. Wendy

There's also a FREE Bar-B-Q in a park in Charlotte each March sponsored by the Canadian Snowbirds Association.   If anyone is interested, contact me at 2matt@rogers.com   Cheers.   Matt
