Ernie. I knew your brothers Mike and Peter. I lived at 835 3rd Avenue. Buster, the last I heard was in Calgary. Sorry to tell you this, but my brother Hartland (Bumpy) passed away in 1995 from a heart attack. He was working at a stock brokerage house in Calgary. I know there might be others on this site that may be able to help you. Hang in there.

Ernie. I am living in Vancouver, Washington. It is just across the border from Portland, Oregon. I have been here since December 1972. Went into the United States Marine Corps in 1960. When I got discharged, I went back to Montreal and worked on The Montreal Exchange. Mike was there at the new exchange at Place Victoria. After the PQ got in and told us we would have 6 months to learn french or else, I decided to move back to the USA. I had every intention to do that anyways, but I was having to much fun trading on the exchange. The timing worked out perfectly in every way. Good to hear from you also. Hope all is well with you. Winston

I enlisted in the US Navy in Albany, after first signing some papers in Burlington Vermont. So many years ago. I had no idea what I was getting myself into except it was as exciting as hell.

Les. I don't remember anyone with a red car from 3rd Avenue. Maybe he is talking about Eddie Featherstone, or Bobby Featherstone(who just passed away recently).  They lived at 841 3rd Avenue, which is on the second story. Eddie still lives  in Verdun, I think on Brown Blvd. Billy Brennan worked in the market also, and lived at 852 3rd Avenue. But he messed up, and eventually went to work somewhere else.  If I do remember someone else I will let you know.

What a sight this Verdun Connections is, how people are connecting regularly.....such memories. Oh, we lived at 818-3rd........my Nana lived bottom flat 780-3rd  and talked alot with your Mom on the balcony back in the '50's........so very long ago.   toodles, cookie carlin

Ernie...You have a great memory.... my Father spent many a nights at the legion, he was quite a character.  He passed in 1994, he ended up losing both legs as a diabetic, but that never stopped the gin&tonics and cigarettes. His last years were spent in Ste.Anne De Bellevue, and I would take my summer holidays from work and go to Ste.Anne's and spend time with him until the end.  That's when I saw Peter and Michael at their shop around 1992-93, I hadn't seen them in 50 yrs.....it was a fun visit. My brother Wayne lives in Vancouver...I live in the Okanagan in B.C. about a 5 hour drive from Vancouver...I see Wayne when I visit my daughter in Vancouver. Nice that all you Lazures are on Verdun Connections, brings back lots of memories.........   cookie, sandra, sam

Hi Ernie:   Hartland (Bumpy) Allison was my uncle.  Unfortunately he passed away at the young age of 50, in 1995.  He was living in Calgary at the time.  He has three sons who live in Vancouver.  The last time I saw Steve (Buster) Cheeseman was at Bumpy's funeral.  He was leaving here in Calgary.  I remember both Randy Stewart and Bobby MacLean but have no idea about them.  Bumpy's brother (my other uncle) Winston is on the site and may be able to shed some light on some of them   Connie (Coleman)

That should have read "living" not leaving in Calgary LOL
