Trade Like Bill and Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton is the largest recipient of medical insurance industry money according to Michael Moore's new documentary 'Sicko', and now the stock portfolios of the Clintons revealed. Hmm... oil stocks.
Politicians are so full of prunes.

Bill, I suggest you read your post. These are blind trusts. They have been put into the hands of stockbrokers who decide what to buy and sell. The owners must stay hands off. Even calling the broker to suggest a buy or sell would be considered a nono. I don't put much faith in Michael Moore, he strikes me as a phony.    Ed

Edbro i think that there will always be speculation ,as to whether Politicianc 'really' have no say in what happens to their stocks a la: Blind Trust............ Paul Martin whose Canada Steamship Lines were going to be a problem 'quit' the company and turned everything over to his sons,.....Ya Sure noone ever talked about the company at (let's say a family dinner) I have yet to see a Politician of any party ,any country ,.not come out ,surprisingly enough richer than when he went in,........... but ,you know what,.who cares,......someone running a country or a business ,.and doing a good job ,.then shopuld profit,...that's the way it is..... as for Michale Moore,.some like him,./some don't ,........but He calls 'em as he sees 'em./..........and he seems to do his 'due dilligence' ...and i've yet to see anyone he's targeted actually come out in a full blown defence of themselves after he's made a documentary,.................Which suggests to me that they either 'cannot defend themselves against some accusations,.because they are true,.............or they cannot be bothered. I like a politician who comes out & says MYOB,............if it pertains to personal stuff,......or answers questions 'in no uncertain terms'.......... We've had a few Politicians like that,.who were not afraid to call a spade (a shovel)................hahahahahahaha  .also our southern counter parts have had some good representation as well,........but haven't had for some almost 8 years now.......(or soon to be) .............  Politics seems to be filled be too many A$$ kissers now ,and not with genuine folk who aren't afraid to ruffle some feathers, now & again,........but still do a good job.............(present administrations in the USA & Here ,excluded ) .............................................   Just an Opinion                            have fun & remember Verdun

Ed I understand what a B.T. is. The president has 'enormous' powers. Telling a lowly stockbroker not buy oil stocks is one of them. Why are the Clintons dumping them now ask yourself?

I own BP myself and glad of it, but I'm not pretending to save the planet either. In regards to Michael Moore, I thought Canadians loved him. He certainly loves Canadians. I own all his documentaries I think beginning with 'Roger and Me'. I loved that one b/c I'm pro union. The only film I had a problem with was his last one, which was clearly slanted to put a democrat in office. His new documentary 'Sicko' crosses all political lines -- thank you Michael.

I see where Bill made 10 million last year , giving speeches , now that is definately good pocket change, guess no tag day for them .  jim p.s. I like Bill .

Jim I don't know if you followed B.P. common stock (British Petroleum), but I have for many years. I'm certainly no stock expert, but since it has been publicised that the Clintons dumped their BP shares, it has been extremely active. There has been less than a million shares changing hands per day for years, now suddenly 3 and 4 million per trading day on the NYSE, and for a ADR that's a lot I think. Also a huge amount of extended day trading (after hours), and before Clintons hardly any. Coincidence?

Look the NYSE hasn't been open an hour 1030 AM EST and already it's up to 3 million shares traded!

Bill, Perhaps the Clintons are afraid the public will see oil shares as connecting them with the Bush/Cheney/Saudis crowd.? Les, I can't put my finger on exactly what it is that I don'ty trust about M.Moore. One example recently struck me. He is on a ship yelling at people far in the distance. If he really wanted to be heard would he not use a megaphone.A lot of things like this struck me plus the fact he milks a subject until you want to scream "O.K. we got the message." Anyway, like the news I take much of it with a gram of ha, I mean grain of salt.    Another subject I'd like to bring up this morning is weeds. I feel bad for the families of the two N.S. boys who drowned in a lake. Our own Church Warden here, whom I replaced, lost his 15 son in ten feet of water right in front of their Laurentian cottage. he dove in and got caught in the weeds. It devestated them losing their only much loved son. He was a beautiful child who used to give me a hug every Sunday morning. I see very little warnings on the dangers of weeds. Another lad dove off Crawford Bridge and died the same way. If you gggle in 'Lake weeds danger' there's all kinds of warnings about what they do to the ecology. Not a word about swimming.     Ed

That should read 15 year old. It's not 15 boys. However I'm sure you figured that out.  Ed
