Shirley. I guess quite a few have passed away. I have been gone since 1972. I would get updates from my brother Hartland, who would get updates from Eddie Featherstone and others. Haven't talked to anyone back there for years. The last one I spoke to was Joe Taillion about 3 years ago. Joe Forey is gone, Les Brooks, also. I know there are a lot more.

Winston thanks for the heads up on Robert. Robert must have been younger/older than I b/c I just do not remember him, and I should have because he lived up the street from me. I remember Eddy Featherstone of course from Bannantyne School. Where are all the old kodak pictures?
I hope when I break through to the other side, I'll be remembered as a long time Verdun Connections member. R.I.P. Bobby.

Winston I have a box full of super 8 film, and I've been looking for a local place that will transfer them to DVD. Hard to find such a business.

Winston: did I read right??? Les Brooks is dead?? I worked with him at Bache on the trading desk while getting my stock and commodity license.  My late husband Norm Boulton was a friend of Joe Forey and he started off as a phone boy for Nesbitt Thomson or was it Kippen no I think it was Thomson.  I remember that aTaylor worked for Latimer - few weeks ago I read that Dick Cormier had passed away here in Calgary - I worked with him at Royal Securities my first job as teletype operator of course Dick was a stock broker and probably 15 or more years older than I was.  He also was good friend of my late husband.  There are so many old guys out here in Calgary - Richard Livingston not sure if his brother Bob doesnt also live out here - ran into Bob at a bre-x party way back when.

Shirley. Yes Les Brooks died quite awhile ago. He was one of those runners that ran about 10 12 miles every night. Joe Forey had made the move to Vancouver like almost everyone else. He married a "young" chick that was working on the computer islands on the floor of the exchange. It surprising how many of the same people that we know. Did you know Joe Taillion, Andy LaPlante, or Harry Taylor? All of us worked for Dominion Securities on the floor.

I know this was a while ago, but do you guys know anything else about where Joe Forey went?

Hopefully someone will see your question about Joe Forey & come up with an answer for you. However this site is considered inactive for the most part, as it is mainly a storage site for many of our old topics & posts from 2 previous Verdun Connections sites ( MSN groups & Multiply Network)
but a lot of people do surf by each day according to my site counter. You don't have to join or follow unless you want automatic updates when a new topic is posted
