I only have a few photographs of where my grandad grew up on 1st Avenue. I was just wondering if any the members here would remember it from the 1930s onwards or even have photographs so that I had a better idea of what it was like for him to grow up there and the surrounding area. I havent read much here about that area and as I dont know Verdun at all, I was wondering is this because it was out of the way or something? Sorry if that sounds stupid, as an English person, I'm just trying to understand a bit more about the layout of Verdun
