Fighting from Home

Hi

Just wanted to say I have obtained a copy of the book. Found it at bookstore on Wellington. The one near Church. The owner told me he has about 3 or 4 left and was trying to get more. He also is trying to get the 125 History of Verdun in English from the City.He has a small waiting list.If anyone is interested let me know.

Lad, Mr.Plante is a great Verdunite. When Quebec tried to take our Hospital and send us to La Salle. He and Dr.Plante (Lung specialist) led the fight to save our Hospital, taking signatures at the bookstore and other places. Quebec backed down. . Ed

Hi Metalman   Man steamies sound good....had Lafleurs last week when I was there.Had not had them for a long time...not bad...but not Rex's or Norman's..guess I am biased... Called the bookstore and he is holding a copy for you. Ask Phillip.Told him you would be on week-end..I will get his number after and post it. He has a few copies left and sounded happy to hear some people are interested. The owner has only lived in Verdun for few years but he told me he cannot believe the enthusiasm of the people when it comes to Verdun..when they come in and want these books..especially English ones who are looking for the 125 History of Verdun... Metalman can u tell me your first name...I guessed it started with a V..just so I can tell the guy.If I was wrong...   Lad

i posted a pic of the book store, i started reading

always proud to talk about a verduner that
worked on his or her goals.
i'm sure that was jeans younger brother the author
the author worked countless hours on his own time
meeting verduners, research, marketing etc.
its a must to all verduners to support and
buy his book.

Hi Metalman   If you came from the Avenues there is a section in there that really sends the message home. This is a good book...I agree with you..   Lad
