Looks some snow accumualtion,..............but I didn't know they are expecting 40cm's  Well at least it's the weekend and they have two days to get rid of it.......
but I guess every one's home from work by now,..So it's a stay in the cozy heat and look out the window and relax,.........
Mind you snow or not ,when we were younger ,we'd be heading out the door to go Downtown,.....or start out at the '50 club' in Lasalle,..Bert's Bar,.or the HAraki

Seems like the snow is just part of what Montreal is all about, it never stopped anything, and going out to boogie was no exception.  The city never stopped, ever, neither sleet, nor rain, not snow.......  Remember the firemen putting out fires in the middle of winter?  The icicles hanging from uniforms (and equipment).  Here's hoping the Toyota fire doesn't take any lives....

Funny thing is we would not have gone out until later ,.when the strom was going good,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Remember coming out of a nightclub,..and seeing the streets covered in a new dump of snow,.yet we cleaned off the car,..(always wait till that 'cold' light on the Dash went out ,fire up the Heater & Defrost,..........and clean all the snow off the car ,not just the windshield,.........I hate that following a car and the guy has snow flying off the roof,.right at you...........hahahaha

It is snowing here in Verdun. About a foot and a half so far. Weather says will continue for next two days. I remember the great storm of Mar. 1st -3rd 1971. Three  days that closed down the whole Eastern seaboard. However, that we can live with. I am more concerned with ice. The temperature is scheduled to hover around the zero mark for a few weeks with either rain or snow. That is conditions for an ice storm. Damn this global warming, life was easier when we were kids. Weather ewas stable and so were we. I think.                          Ed

Les, the huge storm ( I thought it was 1060 but I'm guessing) of which you speak left some areas (including Crawford Park) without electricity for ten days. My Father had a woodstove in the basement and they kept warm and cooked with it. Those are few and far between today I think. Ed
