Other than the rumoured bodies buried on Nuns Island,........ are there any cemetary's in Verdun ?  I can't think of any,.but woth all the Church's we had there,.in the old days maybe some of them used their yards? Anyone out there know,........or is this one more of those things to add to the 'things you won't find in Verdun'..Remember it was Taverns (Nightclubs) , Train Tracks,.Hotels,.....and Streets with name Saint in them?(unless there's some on Nuns Island) .................Can we add Cemetary's to that list........................I think we can:               "What Say You? Another Terminus .........................................................and of course the old Montreal Forum,..........Remeember catching many a bus from here,........ the #7 (107)  ,.or the old #8 (108)   etc etc ...........Remember all the pigeons in that little park,.......and then latre years the entrance to the Metro,.as well as the Alexis Nihon Plaza..........................   This picture is old ,.(fifties early to mid) ,.because I don't see any of the Shelters that ran the length of the park,.where you'd be sheltered from rain or snow .......

Can anyone tell me why the people living in Laval cannot be buried in Montreal cemetarys?                Ed

les__f MSN said...

Let me guess Ed....................................cause they are 'living' in Laval, hahahahaha   Did you know that they used to bury people in China with their rearends sticking out of the ground................................. they needed a place to park their Bikes.

Might be that people that are LIVING should not be buried?

Les  You are too much. There's a visual ! I
have an ex old man who maybe I could bury him along side my drive way, and use
his butt to park my bike.
Boy did it ever feel good to say that!

It felt good saying that???? Why Miss Scarlet, what do you mean????? Many of us have Ex's and are Ex's... It took quite a while. As a matter of fact, it took many many years. Just for a chance to get even, to see her suffer, just anything that would hurt her. But you know what? I wasn't built to be like that.  With all the miserable, dispicable, hateful, vindictive feelings I had...I was the only one that was suffering.   Till I let that all go, and truely felt sorry for the love she has forgone, by not only me, but her 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th husbands, I do feel immensly sorry for her. She was not a mother to our daughter, and did nothing to be a loving mother. Our poor daughter still cares something for her, which I can understand, but has not spoken to her for at least the past 2 years.  My ex (30 years now) is living in Las Vegas, and is probably the most miserable (inside and out) person that I think I will ever know. I still pray for her, while there is still time for her to change her ways. Here is hoping!!!!!   Winston

Winnie  Thanks for your reply message. I am
not a hatefull person nor do I want to become one, It feels good to joke at a
time like this. I have and still am in alot of pain I know it won't last
forever, but I pray it ends soon.
Your right on ! when it comes to his side of
the street and his patterns.
I can only clean up my side of the street . It does
seem to be easier to datatch when I'm angry. I hope to eventualy detach with
love for me and him.
I know this is yet another lesson I've been given I
am waiting to feel it as a gift. Here's to us! and all our Ex's I only wish
he 'd move to texas.
Thanks again Pal

Just one of the processes we have to go thru. We of course ask ourselves why we should have to go thru this crap. No one likes it, no one wants it. But it is like I say about the beatings will continue till morale improves. Also, we want the pain and anger, and crummy way we feel to go away. Then we tell ourselves that we don't want to be bother with anyone else ever again. But you know what. Each day will make things a little better, then someone will give you a look that will get the juices going, and then we start to hope that someone will come along, hold your hand, make you feel like a teenager that gets twitterpated, and believe it or not, all excited, and glassy eyed. Maybe not tomorrow, or next week, but maybe next month. You will see. AND I will be waiting for that message from you!!!!!!

A while back someone posted a link that listed the occupants of cemeteries on Mount Royal. Did anyone save it? I can't find it and would like to search it.

Magggie, The catholic cemetary has a web site where you can find a list of deceased persons:   Cimeti챔re Notre Dame des Neiges: http://www.cimetierenddn.org/en/default.asp   Click "Services" then "Locate a deceased"   There are 4 cemeteries on the mountain, Catholic, Protestant, Portuguese and Jewish.   I am not sure if the Protestant cemetery has a web site but you can find that out easily the usual way through your server's research site.   Guy

Thanks Guy. I guess I'm out of luck with that one. We were a good English/Irish Protestant family. Might be a few Harringtons buried there though.
