Any truth.

I seem to be having a slight problem with hotmail. But that is nothing new. Anyways. Dianne. Thanks for the picture of the sheep....oh what memories.

Les. No I really didn't work with anyone at the Forum. I just walked in one day and asked if they need any help. The guy said yes. Sent me to the highest part of the Forum. And guess what..I didn't sell one program, but I did see the hockey game for free. Did that for a very short time, but like I said, I got to see the games for free. And to this day, I don't think I evr sold one program. Of course the Alan, who was working for the star, got some press passes and we got in for free up along the catwalk. We got busted, and Sam Pollack himself, escorted us out the gate. Never chewed us out or anything. What a guy. As for alan, we did a bunch of things together. Never did get his number from you. Or if I did, I must have lost it.

Alan by the way gave me some great Hockey Photo's he took while at the Star,.........(he' knows I'm a Habs Fan.) also he & my brother went to many of the events ,.and Alan gave my brother a cameera & told him to click what he wanted,..and as it turns out I think it was an Expos game where for some reason none of the press phtographers happend to get a certain shot of a special; play,.(except my brother) so they all had to use his picture,.......... Funny thing is he didn't look anything like the ball players...........hahahaha

Winston ~~ are you meaning that Castro had an affair with a sheep?  You guys are getting me all confused...was it white/black; canadian/american/cuban; was it alone or in a flock....and now Sandy says that they had high boots on!!! Go figure.

Winston, don't worry, your secret is safe with me!    he wont get the truth from me!!! I wonder if he is still alive, haven't heard any more about him lately.   Dianne

Linda. I can't tell you the whole story. As far as I am concerned it is still classified. One thing I can say, and how touched and emotionally moved I was, was when the moonlight caught her eye at just the right moment. Just remember. I was in possible danger, in a different country, it was close to Christmas, away from home, homesick, and very very lonely.....

Dianne. I don't know if I told this story before, but we have some good friends in their late 70' who live in New Jersy. They are from Cuba. When Castro came to power, the government found out that these people wanted to goto the USA. She got a chance to send her kids out of Cuba to relatives in different countries. There were about 40,000 ( it could be less) children who were allowed to leave. The husband was conscipted to carry a rifle to possibly go against the Bay of Pigs invaders. Anyways make a long story short. Because they had expressed an interest in going to the USA, he was placed in a concentration camp for 7 years. he worked the cane fields and anything else they were told to do. He went in weighing 210 pounds, and came out at 130 pounds. His wife, had an inventory of everything she owned, and the government would check it every month to see that nothing was
stolen, or sold, or missing, and God help her if a glass was ever dropped and broken. She was not allowed to visit relatives, go to restaurants, and was always last in line (with some others in the same boat) to get any food or provisions. If it wasn't for some friends that would save her some leftovers, she would have died. But because she would not leave without her husband, she basically was free in name only. They finally had a chance to get out when Castro decided to let some people go. You know when you see and meet these people that after 50 years of marriage they are still in love. Great souls these people. Their son, who she got a chance to get out of Cuba, and had not seen till 30 years later, just happens to be the musical director, and is always on stage with Gloria Estavan... Many stories are like this!!!
What wonderful countries we live in, and we still have the freedom and the joy of being able to complain. What a wonderful life.

Winston we do live in the best two countries of the world! And we are so spoiled, we don't know how lucky we are to live in freedom. It really gets to me when I hear people complain about our country. They should try living in a communist country or in a police state.   Dianne

Dianne. One of the things that bothers me, is the fact the "world" thinks were are so bad....but every body and their brother wants to get here. Even the middle eastern people who hate out guts, send their kids to school here. We can't be that bad if all these people are trying to get into this country.

Sandy. I will tell you as much as I can, but cannot go into much detail. Yes, it was quite a night. She was wearing ewe-de colgne. There was just something magical in the air. I don't know where the time went, but before we knew it, it was morning. I couldn't stay any longer, I would be placing her in to much danger. But we also knew that it could not work out with us, we were from different societies, and knew that we would not be accepted in this cruel, unforgiving world. I departed just as the sun was coming across the horizon. My final look back I could see what seemed to be tears in her eyes. I know one thing. She has spoiled me for any other sheep. I could swear to this day I could hear the Whiffenpoof song in the background as I left. To this day, when I start to hear the words to that song, I get very sad and down hearted. You probably know the words that start out as: "We are poor little lambs, who have lost our way, BAA BAA BAA.

That is alll I can write for now, I am too weak from the memories......Winston
