Connaught Picture in Album

Hi Laurie,

You've just made my day.  Holy Toledo, yup, that is my brother sitting on the end left hand side.  What year would this have been.....1961/62?????

Isn't he a little sweetie?  He had georgeous red hair which he always wore in a brush cut, but I remember when my mom brought him home from the hospital when he was born, and unwrapped the covers for us girls to see I asked my mom if we couldn't dye his hair (or shave it off)!!!!  How cruel!!!!   Anyhow, I love him to bits.

Cheers.

Hi Linda I am glad you liked the picture. It was 1961. I remember feeling so awful in that Kindergarten class, I guess typical of any child going off into the "cruel" world.  I remember having to stand in the corner - for playing with the boy's section of toys. There was more interesting stuff to play with there.  Gooooood grief.   Bruce Priestley used to stand there and sob every day when his Mum left him.  Ricky and I were able to comfort him and share our lunches with him.     Say hi to Rick for me.  47 years later - yep he was kindacute !!!!

Great old picture Laurie,.............that's invaluable stuff,.....Thanks for posting it here,......I hope it encourages more people to post some of those old photogrphs that we ,might think to ourselves,."Oh they don't want to seethat picture,..........Yes we do ..........There all about us growing up back there, and we all did seem to have very similar lives, although through life we may have thought the grass was greener,or whatever,......it was all part of the journey so far.................................So hopefully we'll see a lot more,.....keep them coming ,........(seems to be a familiar catch phrase, here these days)..........haha
