...............Why ? ,We just don't eliminate this ritual,I don't know.but in any case this is the weekend,to set the clocks Back 1 hour................

Here's alittle bit of History on DST ,.....etc etc first of all it isn't just Sask. that doesn't change their clocks(in Canada), Did you know that : North America United States, Canada (excluding Saskatchewan and parts of Quebec, B.C., and Ontario), Mexico
St. Johns, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos Start: First Sunday in April
End: Last Sunday in October
U.S. and Canada beginning in 2007:
Start: Second Sunday in March

That makes sense Bill, based on what they say on that link I posted ,that most (if not all ) countires where the daylight wouldn't change that much,..then there is no reason to change. eg: Tropical areas,.closer to the EQ............I Remember when visiting Costa Rica,or Central America, the Sun literally disappeared in minutes,being close to the Equator does that,...it was dark by 6pm-ish ,......turn your head & you miss the Sunset,.....btw the Sunset was almost ritualistic (at least on the westcoast of CostaRica,......locals & tourist alike would allwalk to the beach to watch the event daily,mind you it is an awesome display of nature,reminds everyone of their 'minnute'(sp?) part in the big sceme of things..............and so back to the point ,it just wouldn't make sense to change clocks in these parts of the world
I read in the paper today that this year will be the last time kids will be doing their trick n treating in the dark. Next year we will follow the Americans and fall back a month later (end of November) and spring forward a month earlier (in March). It's for economic reasons that we follow the states.
Yes Sabby, Hawaii is only 22 degrees above the equator. makes sense. However isn't there a mailland state which does not change?

Biking 2006, It seems to me I saw a Sunday Morning excerpt Back last spring that was about one of the states that did not comply with DST> There was a town that was 1/2 in one state and the other half in the adjoining state. Cannot remember which state it was but I think it was some where in the midwest Ruth
