Am I just a dirty old man? or do we keep returning to a particular subject that starts with S and ends with X?.........I am not complaining, just curious (yellow).....................................................................m.p.u.

Now how does one get an idea like that from a beer commercial?.......Just goes to show men have a one track mind...............Dianne

"What to drink when your chasing beaver..........." Dianne, I see your point, I don't know how I could have intrepreted any thing sexual in this.......   Jump ahead to 2006, Bell's use of Frank & Gordon in their commercials is a very popular idea. Just two male beavers, nothing more. Perhaps one is a little brighter than the other, but good chemistry between them.......   And yes, men do have a one track mind, and we do think with our *****, and we do act like boys quite often, and Thank Goodness women still put up with us........   Thanks for providing a lot of the fun stuff on this site. It is so much better to read a post and laugh or at least smile, as opposed to getting mad at someone or offended by some subject.   Ralph...............aka M.P.U.

why am i not surprised, that in a thread that has sexual connotations, happy Di has the most replies...LMAO

Dianne, no, I have not seen this movie , as I was only 14 when it came out, and apparently was grabbed by the censors right away, and I don't go into the ''reserved for adults'' section of the videostore, so I don't know if it has made a re-appearance...I have only read about it. The same applies to Deep Throat, and other ''classics'' that I can't remember.                 mpu

Here's one we all wished for at one time or other...   the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow....lol...   It's 2:45 a.m. and I better hit the sack before I get into trouble...LMAO....

Dianne, was I protesting? after I read my response #14 re; curious yellow, I thought that I might have given the impression that I was ''against'' or ''above'' these movies, that was not my intention, and this reminds me of a joke that I heard once....."This Italian guy was arrested one evening for being drunk and disorderly. When the police officer warned him that anything he said would be held against him in a court of law, he replied with a huge grin on his face...Sophia Loren...   As far as beer, I am not a big fan, I will be more than happy with a glass (or two) of a good red wine, or on a hot day a cold sangria like this one beside my monkey friends.......they never tell..............m.p.u.

An interesting link to CBC with some beer stories http://archives.cbc.ca/IDCC-1-73-1395-8743/life_society/beer/ check in particular "Dow" and "Mad Dog Vachon" stories....note the smoking of journalist with pipe, and guests with cigartettes....on TV !!!

Dianne. You had a great night. What was great about it???

happydi2 MSN said...

Ralph....when I said I thought you were protesting I thought it was because you didn't want to admit you saw those movies....lol....whats wrong with some good old prono....lol   I just watched the Mad Dog clip...pretty funny...attitudes change with the times as values changes....had forgotten Peter  Mansbridge had so much hair at one time.   I remember when everybody smoked on TV...remember that show This Hour Has 7 Days...they all smoked on that show and when Norman Depeau way back in 60's read the news he smoked at the same time.   I think you all know by now I am not a prude, but smoking is someyhing I can't handle or want to be around...my mom died of throat cancer and she smoked for 60 years....that was a horrible year.   Now on a lighter note;   I thank God I was raised Catholic so sex will always be dirty.....John Waters

Winston...the night was great because we went to a barbecue at a friends' house and we had good conversation, many laughs, great food and wine....got home late. Dianne

Ralph, I forgot to mention that the reporter with the pipe was Laurier Papierre, he was on that show 'This Hour Has Seven Day'.....an excellent show in those days....he was also a university professor...Dianne
