I am signed up to recieve instant messages. I assumed (ASS*U*ME) I would be getting ALL the messages that anyone sent to Verdun Connections. I was wrong. (Oh no Mr. Bill....he was wrong). I just happen to go into a subject I think was called Third Avenue(?). All lo and behold there were a number of messages that I have never seen, and some of them were addressed to me and required an answer. SOOOOOOOOO, I guess each week I will have to go into each catagory of sent messages to see what I have missed, including those that I have sent, and have never seen. Maybe when we think our sent messages go into never never land, they really are there, but we never get them at our e-mail address. What do you think? Anything is possible. RIGHT????? Winston Allison

Ps: This site is monitored but not actively posting on a regular basis. Mostly these are stories & some photos saved from a defunct site known as Verdun Connections which was on MSN Groups initially then on a social network called Multiply.

winnie3ave, Personally, I think they're being diverted to somebody (maybe by Mr. Bill) but who knows.....and this person is going where the hEll is Verdun and why are these people so interested in seeing old things. Of course, they could be going to somebody legit who gets his jollies by reading them (naaaa....don't think so). But wherever they're going, I sure do hope they're enjoying the reading. Cheers.
Hi Winston, You bring up a very good point. Anytime I reply to any discussions it gets sent to my Hotmail account. This has just started in the last month or so.Other discussions that other VC members make I can't even find them. That is why I can't answer or contribute to the discussions. I am lucky that I am retired and have extra time to look for the discussions but most of the time I can't find them. However I still enjoy the group. One thing that annoys me is when members refer to us as Verduners. It really is Verdunites but when you think where we come from they could be right. Reggie Paine
Hi Reg ,I have never liked the Verduners handle,......but I appreciate that ,that is what we are ,.and usually I will post Verdun (er's) (ites),...............and allow whoever likes what, to take their pick..............(walking the fence ) I think it's called ..........hahahaha I guess it's a grammar thing, I don;t really know. but as long as we Verdunners converse then I 'Recon' it's Awright,...paw...............hahahaha I meant as long as we Verdunite's correspond amicably,then I would think ,we've achieved the desired result,.............. .________________________________________________HF&RV,

Good to hear, I try to read as much as I can but do not get the time. My wife spent Christmas in the hospital after a stroke and needs more care than before. I get time to read when she goes to bed for the evening. or when her sister is here. Danny
