Two Lying thieving Buffoons

I am speaking of course of the two most recent Mayoral candidates for the city of Montreal..........tremblay.....& bourque ( they don't deserve capital letters on their names),.........these two Bums,....had the audacity to snub the Remembrance Day Ceremony's.......one tremblay had a 'full schedule'......(couldn't spare 2 f&$@#ing minutes,..........and the other Bum (he gets a capital for that),......calls a Press Conference ,...at 11 am.         Well Now there's the true nature of these 'Two Lying ,Thieving Buffoons'  ( Iwas going to say BASTARDS ,..but it wouldn't look good on Our Site)...........

Reminds me of the sailor in the Navy , that asked his Captain what he'd do ,if he were called a Bastard.........the Captain replied He would have to discipline the sailor, for insubordiantion ( throw him in the brigg),...So the sailor asked what would happen to him if he 'thought ' the Captain was a Bastard.........the Captain replied that he would Do Nothing ,cause he cannot help what someone Thinks...........So the Sailor, said 'Good,...cause I Think , your a Bastard........................hahahahahaha

and that's what I Think of those Two Buffoons                        (you really need to lighten up your schedule ,if you can't find two minutes in your day to Respect the People who Died so you could have an ELECTION........................   Wow

I find today, November 11th, very hard.  I reflect on both of my parents were in the Air Force and were lucky to come through unscathed unlike some of our citizens who served.  May their souls rest in peace.   It really leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I hear of such incidents like Les_F pointed out.  I guess I'm just glad that none of them seem to have participated at the cenotaph's to present wreaths, etc.  We don't need hippocrates like this paying homage to such loyal, honest people who served their country and helped make Canada a free nation.

I also find Nov 11 difficult. My father Georges Rollin 1918-1992 from Ville Emard served with the Fusiliers Mont-Royal during WW2. He volunteered for active service overseas, spent 2 years preparing for the invasion. He landed in Normandy, his ancestral homeland on July 8, 1944. He was captured on Aug10, 1944 during Operation Totalize on the road between Falaise and Caen. He spent the duration of the war as a 'guest of the German regime' being force marched to Poland and finally being liberated from Stalag 357 in Follingbostel, Germany, by the British in May 45. He witnessed many atrocities and never talked about it. My husband Paul, my daughter and I went to France and toured the landing beaches, the war cemeteries and the battle sites. I pray with all my heart that the sacrifice was not in vain. What I mean is, history repeats itself, what have we learned from all the wars in the past when we see what is going on today around the world? My dad passed away Oct 26, 1992 and my mom on Nov 8, 1996, so this time of year is very difficult.........Dianne Nowlan...form Nova Scotia

Hi bubbacut,  I'm not a lover of either the mayor or the ex-mayor but I must mention that I do not believe that bourque was in it for the money. When he was elected in 1994 he reliquished his salary in order to establish The fondation du maire de Montreal pour la jeunesse ( for young artists and entrepreneurs ). You don't give up your salary if all you are is interested in the money.  I'm not surprised that trembley snubbed the Vets past and present, he's already elected. But bourque is a real surprise to me. It is a mistake that will haunt both of them and they deserve it.  Danny

Hi DannyB,...I only know what I have seen re: these two Bums,....Unfortunately most politicians now are not in the 'actual job' for the money (ie: the Salary),.but rather the long term Big $$$ Money Deals ,....coughing up your salary ,I will agree , that while looking really impressive,.....isn't the 'Cookie Jar' he's looking to dip into,......mostly it's long term 'RealEstate,...or Privatization of Gov't Company's ,.or things of that nature.........geberally it's the Power from the job,.and the things it makes them privy to,....the things you & I only hear about much later,......after they (or People close to them ) have gotten rich by using the 'valuable information' that they get to see,.......Imagine having a 5-10year or even longer, chance to buy realestate,.or shares in corporations, that you ,now. know are going to be the recipients of large tracts of land ,or Govt ok's to go into business..........cough 100,000 g's /year now,...and make several million,.after you get out of office........Think of just the business contacts,.or money contacts ,that you get to meet during your tenure as mayor of one of the largest city's in North America ( or at least as well known as any)..........and also anyone who practically begs for the 'chance to serve ' and will even forgo the paycheck ,.just because he's really civic minded,......I would be wary of.................But then again I might be wrong (too cynical ,with that Quebec upbringing, where we never saw an honest Politician, or at least very Rarely)........they both showed their True colors,....( and the only colour they hid ) was that Yellow Streak..down their respective backs,....because they certainly Never would have Snubbed such a World Reknown Day of Remembrance,...or let it be known they were going to,in advance of the 'Election' .....          a Democratic election at that.....perhaps a History lesson should be provided for these 'Two Lying Thieving Buffoons"....................seee I got the titlke back into the msg,............hahahahahah                                        HF&RV

Hi Les, Great response. As we all know there is always contraversy of one kind or another in Quebec. Anyway this was not politics it was municipal pollution that we have to put up with around here for another 4 years. Danny

ah , dont get me going, can't stand either of these bums, I have met  the ex mayor and he is not my cup of tea, funny , they always find time to attend the social functions, free wine and contacts and as les says, the contacts are the key, imagine getting a contract to rent out your 10 story building  for 99 years , it happens believe you me, you go to the bank show them the contract and they advance you the money as they know the government will pay up , the more it changes the more it stays the same , I have 5 years service in Canadian Navy behind me , and to say I am annoyed is putting it mildly , crazy world , have wonderful week end   Jimmy

I don't like the language been used  to describe the 2 Montreal Mayoralty candidates. There are more civilized ways to describe our discontent. The managers of this site should crack down on this type of language.

Guy everybody is aloud to have their own opinion . There isn't a swear word used . Remember you have the right to read what you want to read . The managers are doing their job awfully good . So keep up the good work managers . Steve

I'd like to bring back Mayor Camillien Houde. Mayor Houde wanted to keep the streetcars running, especially on Mt Royal Mountain. "Over my dead body will there be a road built up Mt Royal Mountain!" Mayor Houde said. Unfortunately that road runs pretty close to the former mayor's body these days.

Hi Fresco750,...... I didn't know that quote of Mr Houdes,.and i've read a fair bit about him,...interesting that after saying something like that,.they named the road after him.... (I wonder if it was somewhat of a backhanded compliment,or shot)......  the road over the mountain is called Camelion Houde Blvd.   isn it:?      I think I spelled his first name wrong...sorry 'bout that,................                hammmmm you know what's odd,.i didn't swear in this one either...............hahahahahaha    HF&RV

If they walk like a duck, quack like a duck and love to swim like a duck, then they must be ducks, eh?   for calling them like they are.

Hi Guy5479, I'm not sure if I missed something. What exactly did you find so offensive? Are you a Veteran? My father was a Veteran, who suffered for 57 years after the war with chronic lung disease after being on the high seas. And believe you me that if he was alive today to see that the mayor snubbed the Veterans he would have been much more descriptive and colorful in his remarks than anything I have read hear. I believe that people hear should be able to  Call it as they see it.
