Wasn't it Dawes Black Horse? The company that made a bad batch of beer in Quebec City, (50'-60's ???) Many people got sick, and this forced them out of business after, probably, a hundred years in the beer business!   Art

I agree it is Black Horse ale - and that from someone who has never had a beer in her life but I sure did run a few messages when bear was 3 quarts for 90 cents keep the dime.

Hi Guy,   That is Black Horse Ale. Do not know the brewer but they went out of business. the beer was brought back in the 60's by Dow Breweries but it didn't sell and the product line was dropped again.   Reggie Paine

Hey Edbro682 It was even harder driving the bike in the winter. Those bikes that were made for deliver weren't bad with the weight on the front wheel . But the ones you converted with putting a basket on the front of your bike. Those were the days or lining up with your wagon outside Steinberg's to take some one's grocery home for a dime. Steve

Those big heavy black bikes with the wrought iron looking baskets big enough for a suit case welded onto the frame - they must have weighed a ton.  My son delivered for New Verdun when he was about12.
