Cindy Flames fans???

Dear Cindy

You must be refering to Karen Lancaster, she was closest to Cathy Redmond but we did hang aroung in a big group in Beurling Park and at the Nad. My best friend was Cindy Lee and I was close over the years to Joanne Pepin, Colleen McGauraghty, Theresa Bonhomme, Dianne Rowland, Cathy Redmond, Donna Chapatis to name a few. My favorite year book was VCHS '74, that contained my hockey picture. I hung around too much at VHS.

I lived on the laneway near Beurling...on Rolland Ave.  I redognize your name but you know....the mind gets fuzzy....but we can always remember the guys we dated in High School; ha ha.  That slays my kids...ha ha

hope to hear from you

Hi Colleen,  I remember all those names you mentioned.  I actually used to hang around with Cindy Lee's brother Mike.  I lived around the corner on Bannantyne from Theresa.  And I also hung around with Cathy Redmans sister at Beurling Park.  I used to go out with Pat Kennedy, many many mmos ago and married (now divorced Mike Butler).  Talk to you soon.  I have been in the Mississauga Oakville area since 1979.  Still go home though all my family is still there. Actually going in the middle of June. Talk to you soon.

Cindy,
I used to date Jimmy Butler. Is Mike Butler the one situated beneath Jimmy in the 1974 yearbook?  Then I knew him. I tried to find u in yearbook.  Pat Kennedy....I knew the Kennedy's for years...long before they moved up Rolland from me.  My Dad and Pat's Dad (Jr Kennedy) were friends for many many years. They were all a year younger than me. Mike and Cindy's big sister Brenda got murdered in I think it was 1981, that was one of the last times I spoke to Cindy.  She took in Brenda's oldest son Christopher and raised him as her own.  She really had a rough time as did their entire family.  They were so close.  I loved all the time I spent with the Lee's. I married and divorced a VHSer and raised the kids on my own.  Pleased to say they all turned out GREAT.  And I aged better than my ex ha ha
Hope to hear from you

Colleen, The Jimmy you went out with had a brother Dean I believe.  Mike Butler in the year book I am not sure, yu guys all went to VCHS, I went to VHS, but it most likely is Mike.  And in response to Alan the Jimmy Butler he is refering to is Mike's Brother, he is also up here in Mississauga with his wife and son. And I knew you knew the Kennedy's that is how I remembered you. Who was the VHSer you married? I have two children also, they are both doing great. Well it was really nice catching up, talk to you soon. Cindy Cutler

Cindy,
The VHSer I married and subsequently divorced was Alan Brewis.   He was a really talented musician.  We hung around with Ian Davidson, Julie McDonald, Brian McCallum, Mike Collins, Danny Manning,  to name a few.  I had a zillion cousins who went to VHS, including Bim (Miles Liddel), who has proven to be as popular on these sites as he was in High School, never lost his charm I guess! Gail and Blair Murphy, the Doumolins, hills etc....
I ended up with four kids, Corey, Tiffany, Christopher and Brandy.  Started tooooo young, but hey I'm free now. ha ha. My last moves out of the house on Friday.. leaves me to work and to go to the gym in peace without having to be a taxi.  I live right on the outskirts of Calgary.  You cross the street and look back and you will read a sign that says..."Welcome to the City of Calgary".  So the bus service up there sucks and only runs a few hours a day during peak hours. The majority of my brothers and sisters are here too.  I only have a big sister and brother (6 nephews) still in St. Hubert on the South Shore.
I still refer to the East as "home", cannot match the people I've met here to those there.  I've decided that Calgary is Canada's divorce capital as well as the province of throw away kids!!!!  They are not brought up here to have the same sence of family.
And Calgarians cannot drive!!!!  ha ha
Hope to hear from you soon
Colleen
