Great site and MEMORIES, Bim :-) I even liked the shoot-the-bottles game you can play while the page loaded hehe. Took awhile as I'm only on dial-up here -- all I can git in these har mountins!! LOL :-P My Mom used to take us kids every single year. Remember they use to come at the same time every year on the boardwalk....Victoria Day weekend, isn't that right?. :-) I remember the last time that I took MY kids there...was when my oldest was about 8, so that would be 13 years ago. I don't remember why or when they stopped coming to Verdun. but wasn't it because there was too much fighting going on when they came to town or something? Luv, Sharon

You walk a fine line there Bim .. I remember going to the Carnival with a pocket full of change wanting to go on every ride they had. I got on one called the Zipper it was like being inside of a washer. I got hit by everyone of thoes coinstheat were in my pocket. The guy that ran the ride made a fortune just picking up the change people lost.

Hi Bim. :-)
Yes, I've known Karen and Kevin since I was about 9 or 10 years old...that means for 35 years (eeeek! LOL) Unfortunately, Karen and I lost contact with each other after highschool, but we saw each other frequently in our travels all over Verdun throughout the years...lol. I don't know if you know, but Karen hooked up with Steve Carrier and ended up having six...count 'em, SIX kids with him...lol. They had five girls before they finally had a boy and Karen closed the factory. Last I knew they were living in the west end of Verdun, and the last I saw Karen and talked to her briefly was on Verdun Ave last spring. Haven't seen or heard from Kevin a long time. I knew Linda too.
And their parents Sonny and Rose were like my 2nd parents. I know that Sonny passed away, and I think that Rose has now as well, if I'm not mistaken.
If anyone else here knows Karen and Kevin and sees them, please give them both a Hello and a big hug from me, ok?
Luv, Sharon *
