Dreamin' of Virginia

Hey Kids, I work the midnight shift at Go Transit, clearing snow. So to you Ginny you can keep all the snow in Laval lol. So when I get home in the morning and crash out my sleep is intermitten, a few hours here and a few hours ther. It seems that my dreams are pretty intense too. Well yesterday I dreamt about Virginia Starr, don't worry Sharon it was a clean dream, lol. I geuss because I've been reading all these messages over the past couple of weeks and reading about Sharon's farm it popped in my head. Even though I've never met you Sharon I feel as if we are good friends now. Thank you for the tour of your farm and you were so happy to have a visitor from Verdun visit you in Virginia. It's funny how the brain works. Anyways take care all. PS I'll be in Verdun in a couple of weeks, I can taste the food now.

LOL! Well Gerry, you are very welcome for the tour! hehe I'm also glad that my messages have made you feel so comfortable too. I really am one of those down to earth people, ya know? And I gotta tell ya...I WOULD love it if anyone from Verdun came to visit! There is so much here to see. And even if you aren't into sight-seeing, all you have to do is take a hike here on the back mountain to see some beautiful mountain scenery. By the way, my hubby works for VDOT...the Virginia Dept. of Transportation. He clears the snow from the highways in the winter here too. He works the day shift tho, thank God. Even if he does have an hour commute each way, I still prefer him here with me at night. Take care Gerry, and stop by "again" if you're ever down this way! Luv, Sharon P.S. Have you seen the picture albums here, Gerry? There are some pic of the farm in there as well as my baby "Bessey" and my children.

Thanks for the nice words Sharon, Even though I live in Toronto or as I like to call it,The Big S#*t Hole, I love the outdoors. I actually lived and worked in Jasper Alberta for 4 years (77-81) in the Rockies. I have actually spent a few nights in Virginia back in the late 80's and early 90's but I must admit they were just pit stops on the way to Disney. My wife Linda and I bought a nice trailer three years ago and are really into the camping. We try to get out of Toronto every chance we get and one year we will get back to the south, so I'll take you up on your offer if and when that ever happens. I have looked at all the pics, very nice area, and I'm happy for you that you have found a nice hubby and a nice place in your life. I'm also in the pics area, actually right beside you in the "members pics" area thats me on the right and my brother Mike on the left driving the boat, that was taken during one of our fishing trips. It's all Verdun guys, Mike and Gerry Jones, Gerry Pucci, Russell Berthiume, Al Fernie, Billy Eccelston, Billy Nazywalski. We always have a good time we fish, play crib and drink a few wobbly pops. Anyways Sharon you take care and it's been nice meeting you.

Ginny, Yes I did dream about the snow too, but it's kinda an "Apocalyps Now" sort of dream " Rot in hell you little snowflakes" lol I actually like snow, I like it so much I'd like to take on vacation to let's sayFlorida!!!!!! Melt you little bastards melt!!!! No seriously I do like snow, but you must admit it serves no purpose in the cities. It looks nice for about 1 hour then it's a brown slushy pain in the butt, Ginny didn't I see somewhere you are into camping, well you can't go camping in the winter!!!! Well you can I guess, but I'm a big wuss now. Anyways Ginny, take care and Happy Valentines Day.
Gerry      PS you can keep the snow in Laval lol

Hi Gerry,

It must be due to sleep deprivation, but you really jogged my memory with the names you mentioned! I looked at the picture of you & Mike in the boat.. I have seen yours & his names mentioned repeatedly, but it never connected until I saw Mike! It has been a LONG time! Also, the last I heard of Alan Fernie, he was in Toronto working at GEAC Computer. I worked on a GEAC system when I was at Avco Finance in London Ont. from '79 to '89 before moving to Boston. I did see Billy Nazywalski a couple of years ago at the Ukrainian Hall on Centre St. Back around '70 or '71, I used to volunteer at Dawson Boys Club, and tought Billy & his brother how to build & fly gas powered balsa wood airplanes! Please say Hi to them for me when you are in contact with them again.

Thanks!

Alan

Hi Alan, I recognize your name but I can't place you. Big Al is in Milton now he's invovled in trucking logistics. I don't know if you realize but all those guys I mentioned, Mike  (my brother) Gerry Pucci, Russell and Billy Naz all married one of the Eccelston sisters. Gail, Lynn, Diane and Barb. And I married their cousin from Toronto, Linda. We all go camping together in the summer with the families and kids. I will say hello to all of them for you. Take Care

Hi Gerry,

Please do give my best to them! Actually, I also remembered that my wife Mary used to babysit for Billy N and his brother. I just saw his mother at the Ukrainian hall on Centre St in December.
I am heading to Montreal tomorrow (Tuesday) to pick up my youngest daughter at Concordia... February vacation. Going to be a whirlwind trip, but I will still find time to endulge in some of the food & establishments!

Regards,

Alan
