Just joined Verdun Connection and really enjoyed the pictures that Steve Christophe displayed. The pictures of the Auditorium brought back good memories. I skated with the Verdun Figure Skating Club at the Aud from 1950-1959. The pictures of the Natatorium were really great. I remember swimming during the "free" time each morning from 9:00-Noon. I would go home for a quick lunch and then return and pay 25 cents for the rest of the day. I remember friends throwing bags of Laurentian chips from the roof . I left Montreal in 1977
and these pictures bring back some wonderful memories.

To WindsorSecurity1 from ex CPR/CRBer Ralph Piercey. How are you doing Ralph? I sent you a message to your hotmail address a couple of days ago but it probably went into your junk mail. I guess by your nickname your are still at CP. I left there at the end of January 1998, and am working for a printing company in Lasalle. Did you know Eddy Davis that used to work at Windsor Station? He lives up the street from me in Deux Montagnes. Verdun Connections is a great site. My Dad still lives in Verdun and I go there a couple of times a week to see him. I have very fond memories of VHS and Verdun in general. Write to me at ralphpiercey@hotmail.com sometime if you like.                                                   Take care, Ralph.

To Sharon in Alberta;                     Hope you are doing well. How are your parents? Please say Hi to them from Ralph Piercey (son of Beatrice & Ken). If they like they can write to me at ralphpiercey@hotmail.com . My Dad used to work with your brother Wayne (Eddie) and I bought my first motorcycle from Wayne when we used to have our country places in the Hinchenbrooke (Huntingdon) area in the early seventies.                           Take care, Ralph.

Hello Ralph Yes I do know Ed Davis tell him to call me when he can I called last. CRB is all gone now as I recall most of you guys got a great deal . I am just waiting for a package to head my way and I'll jump on it. This site and the Point site are loads of fun . I came from the point and still have family there . Do you remember Stan Royston? he passed away three years ago. A nasty shock to me he was a good friend.

Hi Ralph:
            I will give Ed the message the next time I see him. In case he does not know your number, you can send it to me personally at ralphpiercey@hotmail.com if you like. I am shocked to hear about Stan. He seemed to be quite fit, I remember when he used to box. I used to talk with him quite often at Windsor Station; I did not know him in school, I was the same age group as his brother Kevin. As far as your comment "as I recall most of you guys got a great deal", yes as far as CPR is concerned I have no complaints. As far as Crain Drummond and one of my co-workers/"friends" that was a different story. Anyway this is all in the past. Life is too short to dwell on the past and what might have been.
Take care, Ralph.

Hi Sharon;
            I have a lot of great memories of the country, the best being all the time I spent there with my mom. I only wish I had told her more often how much I cared for her. My Dad will be 80 in a couple of weeks, and is not doing that well. I believe you live in Calgary? I went to Calgary twice on business in early 1997 and enjoyed myself very much there. This site is great for sharing memories of Verdun and catching up on news from old friends isn't it?
                           Take care, Ralph.
