Hi Billy, We are old friends from CB. I also knew your father and mother. I was going to buy a van off of your father at one time.He was into vending machines at that time. I was also good friends with your sister's boyfriend at that time. They spent alot of time at my place. Her boyfriend was Steve S. and lived on Beurling until his mother died. There are other members on this sight that were friends of theirs as well. Does this all sound familiar. Dannyb

Hi Billy, My handle was Pirate. My call #er's were Xm 52-3025. And Steve was 462. That was over 30 years ago. You were realy young then. How is your sister these days. Say hi for me. And your parents are well I hope. Steve died a long time ago. It must be almost 20 years now. And yes I remember the old coffee drinker was Bills handle. Steve did a good job playing Johnny Cash on the guitar. Many fond memories of those days lots of late nights on the CB. Dannyb-

Hi Billy, I lived on 3rd avenue from 1954 to 1970 and then lived in Lasalle on Gerald until I moved to Calgary in 1977. I moved back to Montreal in 1982 and been here ever since. Who told you that Steve died of a drug overdose. Every one I spoke to said he took his own life in the Rapids or it appeared that way. Drugs were part of his life and he did get very depressed at times but he was harmless. When I moved to Calgary he said he would never see each other again and he was right. Dannyb--

Hi Billy, I agree with you, he was not harmless at the time when he threatened the life of your sister. There is always another side to people when they are acting in desperation and can't seem to hold things together. It sounds like he was stocking her after they broke up. That side of Steve was not the side he would have shared with me. That is also something that can not be overlooked or forgotten by the people involed. Times like that overshadow the good times and leave any fond memories blank. I guess your family can be thankful that he never went through with his threats inlight of the matters surrounding his death. My choice of the word harmless was not the best I have ever chosen to discribe someone. When I lived in Calgary I lived mostly in Hunnington hills in the NW. And lived in Place Concord in the downtown area. Dannyb-
